Los Angeles (PCL) 1946 Authentic Wool Home Jersey
$228 USD
AUTHENTIC WOOL HOME JERSEY HONORING THE 1946 LOS ANGELES ANGELS OF THE PCL
History: When World War II ended, baseball fans returned to Los Angeles’s Wrigley Field in force. The Angels drew a remarkable 501,259 fans in 1946, even as the club finished fourth in the Pacific Coast League with a 94–89 record. The surge in attendance reflected the Pacific Coast League’s growing stature: with its major-league-quality ballparks and passionate crowds, the circuit was making a serious case for recognition as a third major league. That bid ultimately failed, but the Angels’ postwar crowds showed just how big-time minor-league baseball could feel.
Made with authentic wool baseball flannel with felt appliqué lettering, this is a reproduction of the road jersey worn by the 1946 Los Angeles Angels of the PCL.
Made in USA.
