History: The AAA American Association was rolled into the Pacific Coast League in 1963, so for several years there was the odd occurrence of cities like Indianapolis and Tulsa suddenly becoming “West Coast” teams. The Oilers were in the Cardinals system in the 1960s. Season standouts included outfielder Ted Savage and catcher Dave Ricketts. Tulsa went to the post-season PCL playoffs, but lost to Seattle.
