Sankei Atoms Cotton Twill Ballcap
A CLASSIC BALLCAP HONORING THE SANKEI ATOMS
History: From 1965 to 1968, this Japan Central League team was named the Atoms, inspired by Osamu Tezuka's popular manga series Astro Boy, known as Atom Boy in Japan. Minor league veteran Dave Roberts joined the Atoms in 1967 and quickly became one of Japan's premier sluggers.  The team was renamed the Yakult Swallows in ‘74, but if you go to Meiji Jingu Stadium today for a Swallows home game you’ll still see plenty of Atoms gear in the stands.
This classic ballcap, cut and sewn from sturdy cotton twill and finished with a felt graphic and brass eyelets, pays homage to the mighty Sankei Atoms.
