STRUCTURED A-FRAME SNAPBACK HONORING THE 1965 HAWAII ISLANDERS

History: In 1965, a 24-year-old outfielder named Brant Alyea spent the summer terrorizing PCL pitching for the Hawaii Islanders, launching 27 home runs in Honolulu before the call finally came. On September 12, manager Gil Hodges sent him in to pinch-hit for the Washington Senators — and Alyea crushed the very first pitch he ever saw in the majors into the stands for a three-run homer, becoming just the ninth player in history to do it. He wouldn't stick around the bigs for long, but for one swing, the kid from Honolulu was a legend.

This cotton twill ballcap was designed with a retro A-frame silhouette, giving it a structured crown, a 5-panel construction, a pre-shaped bill, and a classic snapback closure. The 1965 Islanders logo was applied with an embroidered felt patch.
