Great Lakes Naval Station 1943 Home Jersey
1$225.00
History: As the war effort pulled many ballplayers into service, World War II boasted a rich collection of military baseball teams. One of the best, however, was at the Great Lakes Naval Station in Illinois, where the base’s team compiled a record of 188-32 over the years of the war. Most famously, in 1945, Chief Petty Officer Bob Feller -- a Hall of Famer with the Cleveland Indians -- threw a complete game shutout with 10 strikeouts to beat the Chicago Cubs.
