History: The 1969 University of San Diego Toreros leaders included the bang up battery of pitcher Gary Myron, who won the Outstanding Pitcher Award for the second year in a row, and catcher John Wathan who won the team MVP behind a .430 batting average and 24 stolen bases. The Toreros baseball team are currently members of the West Coast Conference and play their games at Fowler Park, San Diego, California.
