History: In 1947, the Canes finished with an impressive 11-2 record under second year coach Eddie Dunn. Dunn was an outstanding football player at the U, and is best remembered in Miami Hurricane lore for scoring all 3 touchdowns in a victory against the Florida Gators in the very first rivalry game between the two in 1938. The University of Miami is located in Coral Gables, Florida. The Hurricanes currently play their home games at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field and are members of the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). "It's all about the U."
