History: Today's Nippon Ham Fighters were founded as the Senators in 1946, and have operated under several names since then. From 1954 - 1972 they were known as the Toei Flyers and played in Komazawa Stadium before moving into Tokyo's Meiji Jingu Stadium (current home of the Yakult Swallows) in 1962. In 1964 they moved again, this time to Korakuen Stadium. In 1962 they won the Pacific League title and the Japan Series.
