History: OK, we know what you’re thinking. But to the best of our knowledge the nickname celebrates the Keystone State. This team was based in Bethlehem and Allentown, PA, and joined the ASL in 1979. Apart from their interesting nickname, another fun fact about the Stoners is that in 1980 they were likely the first US-based pro soccer team to have corporate sponsorship on their jerseys – Alpo dog food, no less!
