History: John McGraw’s Giants were the team that experimented most frequently with uniform and color changes in the first two decades of the 20^th Century (perhaps their most outlandish design being the lavender crosshatch pinstripe duds from 1916). But we chose this classic black-and-white motif from the 1911, the first of three consecutive NL pennant-winning seasons. Although they added a special all-black uniform for the 1911 World Series, New York was relatively subdued graphically for the next few seasons, with a logo not returning to the cap until 1915.
