Jersey City Giants 1950 Road Jersey
3$225.00
History: Only four years after Jackie Robinson began his organized baseball career at Roosevelt Stadium, the city of Jersey City had fallen on hard times, and it was the last hurrah for this storied minor league franchise. It did not help when the Yankees began televising games, as minor league fans began staying home in droves to watch baseball on the tube. After routinely setting attendance records for many years, only 63,000 of the faithful went through the turnstyles in 1950, last in the league, and one-fifth of what they drew only three seasons earlier. The Little Giants not only fled New Jersey, but also the country, after the 1950 campaign, relocating to Ottawa, Canada. Nevertheless we love this adaptation of this classic Giants road style.
