History: The Stars came up with uniforms with a brash red, white & blue design scheme to accompany their move into new Gilmore Field in 1939. The team was owned by restauranteur Bob Cobb (originator of the Cobb salad),and attracted the elite of the Hollywood entertainment industry. Both the Stars and cross-town rivals, the Angels were displaced in 1958 when the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles.
