History: Hiroshima established a professional baseball team as part of the city's reconstruction efforts after the atomic bomb devastation in 1945. The Carp ("Koi" in Japanese) were perennially underfunded, and were so poor that in 1953 they could only afford to issue one uniform per player. The Carp played in Hiroshima Municipal Stadium until 2008.
We recommend washing in a gentle cycle and laying flat to dry in order to preserve the felt work.
I was really hoping this particular item would be available again. My wife is a professional seamstress and she was impressed by the design and the work. The vintage cut is amazing and the fit is perfect. Just make sure to look at the charts before ordering. This is one of my statement piece. Thank you Ebbets !
