History: Hiroshima established a professional baseball team as part of the city's reconstruction efforts after the atomic bomb devastation in 1945. The Carp ("Koi" in Japanese) were perennially underfunded, and were so poor that in 1953 they could only afford to issue one uniform per player. The Carp played in Hiroshima Municipal Stadium until 2008.

An 8 Panel Wonder
It’s not often you run across an 8 panel ball cap. Most ballcaps today have the now traditional 6 panel crown. The attention to detail and quality is fantastic. And with the soft bill and leather liner, it makes this cap of the Nippon Professional Baseball’s Hiroshima Carp a true winner.
Great historical hat
Because this logo was unlike any of the other Hiroshima logo I've seen, I did some digging around on the internet and was finally able to find one of the few 1958 photos of this logo. Pretty neat to see a reproduction of something few people probably know existed.
Pretty good purchase
I bought this for someone as a gift. The cap looked great, the fit was good, but I didn't expect/didn't realize that the bill was soft and unstructured rather than stiff. Something to consider.
Hiroshima Carp 1958 Vintage
Purchased this as a gift for a Ebbets Field collectoe and was very well received. The 8-panel detail is a great touch!
