History: The famed club that would later be immortalized in fiction in the film Bull Durham, the Durham Bulls played in the Class-A Carolina League for about 40 years. The ‘65 Bulls finished the season in first place in the Carolina League's Western Division, but were swept by the Tidewater Tides in the best-of-three league championship series.
