History: The Dartmouth Big Green Baseball team play in the Red Rolfe Division of the Ivy League. Red Rolfe played shortstop at Dartmouth before becoming an integral part of the New York Yankees teams that won 5 World Series between 1931 & 1942. After retirement he served as Athletic Director at Dartmouth for 13 years. The sleeve patch as seen on this 1959 jersey was worn by many College teams that year to commemorate the centennial of the first intercollegiate baseball game in the U.S which featured the Williams Ephs vs. Amherst College in Pittsfield, Mass.
