Dallas Eagles 1950 Road Jersey
$215.00
History: In one of the most successful promotional stunts in baseball history, the Eagles drew 53,578 fans to their 1950 Opening Day game at the Cotton Bowl. Eagles owner Dick Burnett devised the plan to open the game with an all-star old-timers team made up of legendary ballplayers like Dizzy Dean, Tris Speaker, and Ty Cobb, all taking the field in Eagles uniforms. After the first batter, Dean and the other greats left the field and were replaced by the real Eagles.
