History: The 1950's weren't so fabulous for the Brown Bears as they managed just 4 winning seasons during the decade, but they sure did look good! To date, the Bears have captured 4 Ivy League titles in their history (3 Co-winners, 1 outright). One of the more famous alumni to play for the Bears was College and NFL hall of Famer, Fritz Pollard. Pollard was the first African American player at Brown as well as one of the first two African Americans to play in the NFL when he suited up for the Akron Pros in 1920. The Brown Bears currently play in the NCAA Division 1 Football Championship Subdivision and are members of the 8 team Ivy league. They play their home games in Brown Stadium in Providence Rhode Island.
Please note: Within the wool yarns, there may be some slight color variations. This is an inherent trait of the authentic wool we use. This should not be considered a flaw, but like the original garment, merely part of its charm.
