History: The Dodgers of the AAFC (the same league that brought us the San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns) played at Ebbets Field, but were unrelated to the baseball team or the previous NFL team of the same name. In the AAFC's final season, the team was merged with the New York Yankees and was known as the Brooklyn-New York Yankees. The new combined club made the layoffs, but lost in the first round to the 49ers.
