History: The Army Black Knights Football team recently celebrated 125 years of their football program in 2015. During that time span, the West Point Army Cadets captured 5 National Championships including 3 straight in 1944, 1945, & 1946. They've also delivered 3 Heisman Trophy winners in Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis (Mr. Inside and Mr. Outside) and Pete Dawkins and are home to a famous Alumnus in former U.S. President and Army General Dwight D. Eisenhower who played on the 1912 squad. Of course the Army Black Knights are perhaps part of the most storied rivalry in all of sports history - the ARMY-NAVY Game. As of the start of the 2018 season, Navy holds the edge with a record of 60-51-7. The Army Black Knights currently play as an independent and are not part of any conference. They play their home games at Michie Stadium on the campus of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York.
