League: Northern League
History: The Pheasants - led by manager Cal Ripken Sr. – ran away with the Northern League pennant, topping Grand Forks by twelve games. Ripken had a long career in the Baltimore Orioles organization (he even drove the team bus for the Fox Cities club in 1960). An injury to his shoulder shortened his playing career, but he began managing at the age of only 26. He finally realized his dream of managing the Orioles in 1987. Ripken substituted for his son, Cal Jr., on September 14, 1987, ending Cal’s streak of 8,243 consecutive innings played.

I'm very happy with these caps, as I have been with all the merchandise I've bought from EFF over the years. When I had a question about the availability of a size, Customer Service was very helpful.
One of my favorites!
I’m an Orioles fan, so I’m a bit biased towards anything that has anything to do with them. I especially like this hat because of it’s subtle and unique connection to the Orioles . I get a lot of questions about this hat when I wear it. Sizing is perfect and comfortable. Quality control on Ebbets hats is well beyond any of the major manufacturers (New Era, I’m looking at you!). Although unstructured, it holds its crown shape fairly well.
