League: Independent Team
History: The 25th Infantry Regiment was a famous Black regiment better known as the Buffalo Soldiers. The team was formed in 1894 after a game between an interracial infantry team and an all-Black cavalry team in Missoula, Montana. The team reached the height of its fame when the regiment was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii during World War I. The squad during that time was led by Wilbur "Cap" Rogan, and included four players who later went on to play for the Kansas City Monarchs.
