Authentic team jackets as we know them today first came onto fields in the 1930s to replace heavy wool shawl collar sweaters.

While their history traces back to college baseball, football teams adopted the team jacket soon after to keep sidelined players warm during cold games. Thicker wool and inner linings were used for warmth, leather for aesthetic and durability, and felt or chenille embroidery to signify team allegiance.

We spend hours studying our archives and consulting our collector network to get every last detail just right.

Putting on an Ebbets authentic jacket today is like taking a trip back in time to those cold 1930s games. Every zip, button, and snap is made to the exact specifications of its original counterpart, sewn by hand
right here in the Pacific Northwest.

HISTORY

YOU CAN FEEL

An Ebbets authentic jacket is timeless, not trendy.

Unlike most contemporary letterman jackets, our authentic wool jackets are faithful to the originals in every way.

We use vintage patterns and match each detail down to the button closures, leather trim, and chenille embroidery to get as close as possible to what was worn on the field all those years ago.

QUALITY

YOU CAN TRUST

Virgin wool has no polyester fillers or recycled fibers—just pure wool that keeps you warm and lasts a lifetime.

Every Ebbets authentic wool jacket is made to order right here in the Pacific Northwest using virgin wool milled by Pendleton one of the last remaining wool mills in America.
