History: From the 1938 Dartmouth Aegis Yearbook: "The first undefeated football eleven since the season of 1925, one of the most unexpectedly great gridiron aggregations Dartmouth has ever had, and one of the most colorful and interesting pigskin squads in the nation will be the memories of the 1937 season that will long endure in the minds of Dartmouth sports enthusiasts. The Dartmouth Big Green (also known as the Indians at that time) finished that year with a #7 ranking. Today, the Dartmouth football team are members of the Ivy League and play their home games at Memorial Field in Hanover, New Hampshire, and have been since 1893.
