Minneapolis Millers 1956 T-Shirt

History: The Millers moved from cozy Nicollet Park to the brand new Metropolitan Stadium in 1956. "The Met" was built for the purpose of attracting major league baseball, and initially the owner of the New York Giants, Horace Stoneham, considered moving his club to Minnesota. Of course in the end Stoneham followed Walter O'Malley to California, and it was the Washington Senators who moved to the Twin Cities. The '56 Millers were managed by former National League veteran Eddie Stanky.
