League: Pacific Coast League
History: The Coast League had two separate franchises by this name, the first from 1926 to 1935, when they fled south to San Diego. The better-known Stars played from 1938 until 1957, when they left to make way for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Cozy Gilmore Field on Fairfax was their home. Some real "stars: were counted as owners, including Bing Crosby.
