History: Minnesota Golden Gopher and College Football Hall of Fame Defensive End Carl Eller would stay in Minnesota for the next 15 years as the Minnesota Vikings drafted the future Pro Football Hall of Famer in the first round in 1964. All NFL teams wore the NFL 50 year anniversary patch as seen on this 1969 jersey. Eller was a 6x Pro Bowler. One of the famed "Purple People Eaters," Eller appeared in all four of the Vikings Super Bowl appearances to date. He is a member of the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team and the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor.
