Minneapolis Millers 1951 Home Jersey
History: In 1903 the Millers opened Nicollet Park and stayed there for the next fifty-three years. This American Association team was home to many baseball greats including Carl Yastzremski Ted Williams and Willie Mays. The Say Hey Kid was so popular in Minneapolis that the parent New York Giants took out ads in the local newspaper in 1951 apologizing to local fans for calling Willie up to the Majors.

Yet another exceptional Willie Mays Minneapolis Millers flannel.
Wow! I absolutely love this jersey! It looks fantastic - the black and orange against the home white flannel is eye-popping. I am 5'7", approximately 200 lbs, and bought an XL. It fits GREAT, right out of the box (I wore it over a t-shirt and was very comfortable). The sleeve length was just right too. I love the Miller's variation from the parent NY Giants jersey: double striping at the end of the sleeves; piping around the neck and down the front. The Golden Jubilee patch is very cool too - kudos to EFF for doing their homework and finding that the Millers' home jersey also sported this patch. An EFF flannel is a walk through baseball history, and this jersey allows me to celebrate the great Willie Mays during his pre-MLB days. Thanks again for your continued excellence, EFF!
As my favorite player of all time, great to have a jersey he once wore.Outstanding job redoing this flannel from the past;will show it off proudly...!!
