History: The Hornets debuted in 1936 as members of the International- American Hockey League (which became the AHL in 1940). Home ice was Duquesne Gardens. The original Hornets went to the Calder Cup finals six times in their 20-season history, winning the Cup in 1952 and 1955. After a five-year hiatus beginning in 1956, a new Hornets team returned in 1961, playing in Civic Arena. The long tradition of AHL hockey ended in 1967, when the NHL expansion Penguins took to the ice.

SUCH a great shirt...but really big!

I loved this shirt for my husband and was torn between two sizes (L/XL). The L was sold out, so I went with XL, and it's SO great (REALLY thick and feels well made, looks really good) but it's very big. I'm hoping they restock the L very soon.
