History: The Florida State Seminole Football program boasts a bountiful resume of accolades in their relatively short history since they began playing in 1947 (they did field a team as Florida State College from 1902 - 1904). FSU owns 3 National Championships (an additional 5 unclaimed), 18 Conference titles, 3 Heisman Trophy winners, and has sent over 250 players to the pros. In addition, legendary former Head Coach Bobby Bowden collected 377 wins during his illustrious career - 4th on the all time list. NFL Hall of Famers include former alumni Fred Biletnikoff, Deion Sanders, Derrick Brooks, and Walter Jones. Current ESPN College GameDay analyst Lee Corso and beloved movie star Burt Reynolds both played for the Noles and were roomates on the 1956 squad. The Florida State Seminoles are currently members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Atlantic Division. They play their home games in Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium - "The House that Bobby Built" - in Tallahassee, Florida.
