History: The Harvard Crimson Football team of 1947 featured standout tackle Chester Pierce, who became the first African American to play against a white college in the South when Harvard met with the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.  That same year, defensive back Ken O'Donnell sets a school record for interceptions with 8 which remains unbroken.  Harvard is one of the oldest and most decorated College football programs in history claiming 7 National Championships and boasting 20 inductees in the College Football Hall of Fame.  In addition, brothers John, Robert, and Ted Kennedy all lettered for the Crimson.  The Harvard Crimson are currently members of the Ivy League and play their home games where they've been playing them since 1903, at Harvard Stadium, Boston, Mass.

Please note: Within the wool yarns, there may be some slight color variations. This is an inherent trait of the authentic wool we use. This should not be considered a flaw, but like the original garment, merely part of its charm.
