History: In 1944 the Morgan State Bears captured their 11th CIAA (Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) Championship - all with legendary Coach Eddie Hurt at the helm. They finished the season with a 6-1 record with the only blemish being a loss to Tuskegee by a score of 2-0. Hurt coached future NFL Hall of Famer Len Ford for one season in 1945 as well as 9x Pro Bowler and Hall of Famer Rosey Brown in 1951 & 1952.  Today, the Morgan State Bears are members of the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) and play their home games at Hughes Stadium, better known as "The Den," Baltimore, Maryland.

Please note: Within the wool yarns, there may be some slight color variations. This is an inherent trait of the authentic wool we use. This should not be considered a flaw, but like the original garment, merely part of its charm.

Definitely A Classic~

I LOVE this old-school jersey! I love all things #44, which is what initially attracted me to it. It comes from a school with a proud history, and I learned one of my favorite sportswriters (William Rhoden) actually played there and wore the Morgan State uniform. The color combo was also great (Blue and Orange). I thought it would be bright white as pictured, but was instead more cream (a beige tint), but I'm still happy with it. The workmanship is outstanding.
