History: The 1963 Mountaineers baseball team established the best record of any athletic team in University history, winning 30 of 33 contests. Joe Jeran paced the pitching staff with a 1.15 earned run average in guiding the team to its third consecutive Southern Conference Championship. The Mountaineers of today play their home games at Monongalia County Ballpark, Granville, West Virginia.
