History: The Florida State Seminoles had an impressive record of 9-1-1 in 1964 with their last victory coming in the Gator Bowl over the Oklahoma Sooners, 36-19. Senior receiver and Future College and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Fred Biletnikoff, was the star of the squad. A little known offensive ends coach who had an influence on Bilitnekoff was Bobby Bowden. Bowden left FSU after the 1965 season to coach at West Virginia for 10 years before returning for the FSU Head Coaching job in 1976. Between then and 2009, the Noles would go 377–129–4 with 12 ACC titles and 2 National Championships with Bowden at the helm. Bowden was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006. The Florida State Seminoles are currently members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Atlantic Division. They play their home games in Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium - "The House that Bobby Built" - in Tallahassee, Florida.
