History: The Loyola Marymount Lions Baseball team of 1939 (Loyola University of Los Angeles at the time) was led by LMU Hall of Famer Maurice Donovan who finished his career with a batting average of .358. Donovan would go on to play professionally for Denver, Tulsa, Vancouver and the Los Angeles Angels. Ed Wheeler was another standout who went on to play for the Cleveland Indians in 1945. The Loyola Marymount Lions Baseball team are currently members of the West Coast Conference and play their home games at George C. Page Stadium, Los Angeles, CA.
