History: In 1922, sportswriter Grantland Rice penned what could be the most famous passage in the history of sports journalism when he wrote in the New York Herald; "Outlined against a blue, gray October sky the Four Horsemen rode again." This referred to the four running backs who decimated the Army football team at the Polo Grounds. After reading about the game, Coach Knue Rockne had his student publicity aide get the now infamous picture of the players on horseback at a local stable which was picked up by the national wire service. The Fighting Irish football team of today play their home games at historic Notre Dame Stadium where they have been doing so since 1930. Play like a Champion Today!

Our caps faithfully replicate historic professional baseball caps from 1900 to 1970 and fit differently than modern caps. Try wrapping a piece of string around your head where a cap would naturally fit and then measure the string to find your size.

Measuring Guide
We offer three kinds of ballcap visors:
Pre-1940 ballcaps were made with soft visors so players could fold them up and put them in their back pockets. Later visors were done in standard (stiff visor) or short (also a soft visor). Check the product details to see which type of visor each cap has.
