Hawaii Islanders 1961 Authentic Jacket
History: Hawaiians were thrilled about the arrival of their first professional baseball team in 1961. The Islanders chose revolutionary (at the time) color scheme of kelly green and gold. The Islanders were affiliated with the Kansas City Athletics. Is this what gave Charlie Finley the idea for the A's new color scheme?

Nicely made satin jacket, bold use of color and historically correct. Perfect in every regard, with one wish: we tall guys (I’m 6’5”) could use an extra inch or two in the body of the authentic jackets. In past years, this was the case. I’d be more than willing to pay an upcharge for some extra length in the authentic jackets.
