History: The Oklahoma Sooners of 1929 finished their season with a record of 3-3-2. This record pretty much summed up the story for the Sooners under the tutlage of Head Coach, Adrian H. "Ad" Lindsey. During his 5 years at the helm, Boomer Sooner had an overall record of 19-19-6. The jersey featured here is typical of the era from 1925 - 1935 and was commonly referred to as a "Friction Jersey." The strips were developed to help players hold the ball tighter and prevent fumbling. The Oklahoma Sooners are currently members of the Big-12 Conference and play their home games on Owen Field in the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, Norman, Oklahoma.
Please note: Within the wool yarns, there may be some slight color variations. This is an inherent trait of the authentic wool we use. This should not be considered a flaw, but like the original garment, merely part of its charm.
