Barber's Point Pointers 1945 Road Jersey
History: Representing Barbers Point Naval Air Station in Hawaii, the Pointers featured several professionals including centerfielder Barney Lutz (#4) of the St. Louis Browns. Lutz later became a player-manager, manager, and scout in the organization's time as the Browns and later as the Baltimore Orioles. After his sudden death at the age of 50 during the Orioles' championship run in 1966, the club created an award called the Barney Lutz Memorial Award to honor a minor league player who displays particular excellence.
