History: Prior to the 1962 season, Coach Walter Rabb led the Tar Heels to their first ACC Championship and 4 runner-up finishes. He ended his illustrious career with a record of 540-358-9. Future NFL All Star running back Ken Willard was the strongest man with a bat for UNC over his college career in the early 1960s, leading the ACC in Home Runs twice. He is also credited with hitting the longest dinger in UNC history with a 525 blast. The current Tar Heels play their home games at Bryson Field at Cary C. Boshamer Stadium, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
