History: The Cerveceria Caracas team began as the Caracas Princesa club, which traced its history back to the 1890s. It rechristened during the 1942 season. The team moved to the professional Venezuelan League in 1946, and has been the most successful club in Venezuela, winning over 20 championships. Until 1950 the team prided itself on only signing Venezuelan-born players.
