History: John Brodie played all of his 17 NFL seasons as a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers from 1957-1973 leading them to the playoffs 3 times back-to-back-to-back from 1970-1972. Brodie collected many accolades over his career including Comeback Player of the Year in in 1965, NFL MVP in 1970, 2x Pro Bowler, 3x NFL passing yards leader, and 2x NFL completion percentage leader to name a few. His 49ers #12 is retired and he is a member of the 49ers Hall of Fame. After football, Brodie enjoyed success as a broadcaster and as a Pro golfer on the Senior PGA tour.
