History: Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch began his NFL playing days as a member of the Chicago Rockets from 1946-1948 before joining the Los Angeles Rams in 1949 and finishing his Pro Football Hall of Fame career there in 1957 (Ironically, Hirsch led the College All-Stars to a victory over the NFL Champion Rams 3 years earlier in 1946 and was MVP of the game). Hirsch led the league in receiving in 1951 and collected an NFL Championship that same year. After football, Hirsch parlayed his Hollywood good looks into a TV and Movie career before returning to football as GM for the Rams (1960-69) and then as AD at his Alma Mater - The University of Wisconsin (1969-1987).
