One of the capital city's two teams and bitter rivals of their intra-city foes Santurce. with whom they shared Sixto Escobar Stadium. Great Negro Leaguers who played for the Senadores include Jimmie Crutchfield and Monte Irvin. San Juan won the 1951-52 title with a 43-29 record.
