HISTORY

The Colonels were long-time members of the American Association. They won their first pennant in 1921 under manager Joe McCarthy who went on to become one of the great Yankee managers. The 1960 club included Phil Niekro (#1) and Bob Uecker (#12) who later went on to a successful career in broadcasting.
