HISTORY

When Yankees rookie Mickey Mantle (#20) was sent down to Kansas City after a disappointing start, he considered giving up and quitting baseball. His father told him that if he was going to be a quitter, he would drive him home to Oklahoma right then and there. The "tough love" worked, and Mantle soon turned it around.
