INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE
HISTORY
The "Little Giants" played across the Hudson in Roosevelt Stadium. Jersey City set a Minor League attendance record in 1946. Giants pitcher Louis Polli led the International League in '43 with a 1.85 ERA.
The Little Giants won the league title in 1940. The 1939 squad included halfback Marty Glickman who later went on to fame as a sportscaster.

- Bobby Thomson, the man who would launch "the shot heard 'round the world" in 1951 wore #7 for Jersey City. The "Little Giants" played in Roosevelt Stadium, which ironically would host several Brooklyn Dodger "home" games in 1956 and 57.
