Jersey City Giants HistoryThe "Little Giants" played across the Hudson in Roosevelt Stadium. Jersey City set a Minor League attendance record in 1946. Giants pitcher Louis Polli led the International League in '43 with a 1.85 ERA. The Little Giants won the league title in 1940. The 1939 squad included halfback Marty Glickman who later went on to fame as a sportscaster.
