HISTORY
Cuba entered organized professional baseball in 1946 with the Havana Cubans joining the Florida International League. Manager Oscar Rodriguez built a dynasty as the Cubans won the FIL title every year from 1946 to 1950. The team was promoted to AAA status as the Havana Sugar Kings of the International League. When Fidel Casto took over Cuba the team transferred to Jersey City during the 1960 season.
