HISTORY

The Columbus Senators were charter members of the American Association in 1902. The name was changed to the Red Birds in 1931 and the next year Red Bird Stadium was opened. The team won the consecutive Junior World Series titles in 1941 1942 and 1943 defeating International League champ Syracuse twice and Montreal once.
